Grundfos Connect · Digital Product SpecialistInterview Case Presentation
The situation

Several sales teams, service organizations and customers have submitted ideas for new features within the Grundfos Connect digital portfolio. Resources are limited, not all ideas support company strategy, stakeholders have conflicting priorities, and customer data is limited.

What management asks

Recommend how the organization should collect, evaluate and prioritize new digital opportunities for the next roadmap cycle.

Core message

“My recommendation would be to move from managing incoming feature requests to managing a continuous opportunity pipeline for the Grundfos Connect digital portfolio: combining the signals we already have from customers, sales and service with product analytics and proactive market exploration, validating customer and business impact, and using a transparent decision framework to turn evidence into roadmap priorities.”

I run a continuous product opportunity and roadmap process, not a one-off exercise
STAGE 01

Start with the signals we already have

I bring together the inputs we already have from customers, Sales, Service, support and product data across the Grundfos Connect portfolio.

  • Structure and tag the raw feedback.
  • Cluster it around problems, needs and jobs, not requested features.
  • Identify recurring and high-impact problems.
  • Separate urgent product issues from longer-term opportunities.

If customers repeatedly fail to access asset status in Grundfos Connect, I treat that as an immediate product problem addressed by severity and impact, not held for the next roadmap cycle.

EXAMPLE · GRUNDFOS CONNECTFrom 3 requests to one problem
Raw signals
Facility Manager

"I want to see all my pumps on one dashboard."

Service Technician

"Too many clicks to find an asset status."

Service Technician

"Alarm history only goes back 7 days."

Problem cluster

"I can't easily see the status and history of my assets."

One problem to solve, not three features to build.
